KXOK-FM is a non-profit, independent, listener supported, community radio station that creates, produces and broadcasts both live and prerecorded programs of community interest.
KXOK broadcasts on 102.9 FM including our online streaming platforms that reach thousands more in the St. Louis market and around the world.
KXOK radio is a community radio station and makes no claims to be a "recording studio for hire" for the sole purposes of recording and producing content. All master recordings made by KXOK radio are intended exclusively for broadcast over the air on KXOK-FM.
Due to storage constraints, all master recordings of prerecorded programs and sponsorship messages of inactive clients that previously aired on KXOK radio will be permanently removed from our playback systems quarterly and will not be stored, archived or saved in any form.
KXOK radio makes no claims or promises to inactive clients, including prior written or oral agreements and understandings, to provide copies of any master recordings that have previously aired on KXOK radio prior to or after the quarterly window.
Within the quarterly window, copies of previously aired programs and sponsorship master's may be provided only with a prior written agreement. Any copies of audio master's by KXOK radio must include full compensation for services rendered including additional recording studio time, staff time and any applicable processing fees.
All audio recording masters produced by and broadcast on the air of KXOK radio remain the property of KXOK radio, any rebroadcast without the expressed written consent of KXOK radio is strictly prohibited.
KXOK reserves the right to preempt programs without notice.

- Do I need a produced Sponsorship Message? NO! We will work with you on producing a message perfect to tell your story. There’s no additional charge for writing and producing your message unless you need a specific talent to voice the message or a special music track.
- Can I use a Sponsorship Message that I already have? SURE! Or you can produce your own Sponsorship Message or have someone do it for you.
- How quickly can I get my Sponsorship Message on the air? If you already have a produced Sponsorship Message that you can send us we can normally get your message on the air within 24 hours. If we need to write and produce your Sponsorship Message we can normally get you on the air with 48 hours.
- How do I know my Sponsorship Messages are running? We can provide affidavits that show the day and the times the Sponsorship Messages ran on-the-air. If you’re using your Sponsorship Messages as part of a coop program we can provide you with all the paperwork that is required to receive your coop refund or credit.

- Business name, operating division or parent company.
- Business street location, phone number and/or website.
- Value-neutral product or service descriptions.
- Event dates and locations.
- Up to 3 trade names, product or service listings which help identify the business.
- An established corporate slogan.
- Description of your target market.
- Length of time in business.
- Calls-to-action of a non-transactional nature.
- The call-to-action should not be the primary focus and not imply deadlines or discounts.
- Subtle references to price, interest rates, discounts, specific financing information.
Sponsor messaging on KXOK-102.9 may not include:
- Calls-to-action which direct the audience to call, to visit, to try, to compare.
- Claims of comparison or language that is overly promotional or self-congratulatory in nature. Avoid superlatives (e.g. best, fastest, biggest, legendary, famous, renowned).
- Award or prize mentions; exceptions may be granted for factual major motion picture or music industry nominations or awards.
- Price and value information (including “free”).
- Inducement-to-buy statements which direct the audience to purchase the product (e.g. free trial period, two for one).
- First or second person pronouns (e.g. I, me, you).
- The words “you,” “your” and “we.” The use of these words implies a relationship between the sponsor and the listener.
- Coupons.
- Health claims.
- Expression of a viewpoint on a controversial issue.
- Support of or opposition to a political candidate or ballot initiative. All sponsorship copy subject to approval.
KXOK reserves the right to reject copy based on content.
